Moving at the Speed of Love

(PSALM 16:1 - Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.)

What are You telling me, Lord?


Take refuge in the love I have for you,
For I surround you with My hedge of grace,
And as you cling to Me with faith so true,
The veil will fall so you can see My Face.
Let nothing stand between the two of us,
For I desire no less than we be one,
And you will know we have much to discuss,
The mysteries that prove you are My son.
Your trust in Me must be so absolute,
For with such pure devotion freedom reigns,
And from the root of hope you bear much fruit,
The glory of My love in you remains.
	Pick up your cross and know that I am Here,
	Preserving you with love and joy so dear.

(I JOHN 4:18 - There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.)


Agape love will drive out every fear,
For it displays the perfect will of God.
Considering another’s need is dear,
Whereas a move by angst is surely flawed.
Whatever fear you have will hold you back
From all the gifts that comes from perfect love,
Until the enemies of God attack
And you’re trapped in the flesh and all thereof.
There is no fear in love, it cannot be.
One draws you back, the other draws you in.
Surrender all to Christ and you will see
His Presence casts out fear for love within.
     The only thing to fear is God above;
     With awe and reverence to Him in love.

6/8/22 Quiet Time

(PSALMS 19:1 - The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.)

Like stars among the trees are fireflies,
While honeysuckle fills the summer air,
And constellations dress the southern sky.
All point to God His majesty declares.
Behold the moon! The mistress of the night,
Reflecting glowing luster from the sun,
And here on Earth creation shouts delight
For all He is and all that He has done.
The glory of the Lord is plain to see,
Within a child’s eyes and mountains tall!
A grain of sand, the swelling of the sea,
The universe proclaims that God is all!
	Attune your heart to love and you will hear
	The heavens praise the name of God so clear.

NOW You tell me to write.
I feel a soft click in my soul
Like a mystic tumbler sliding into place.
NOW You tell me to speak,
With wide open heart,
With suffering and joy.
You get through to me now
As if I’d gained new ears
Attuned to the Spirit
Only.
You are my King,
Lord,
God,
Father,
Saviour,
Friend,
Comforter,
Helper,
My All.
You tell me there is only One,
Abiding
Love.
You in me
In You.
THIS
Is the Kingdom
And the Power
And the Glory
Forever.
Always
In all ways,
For
You ARE
The Way.

I've come here to hide, for I am ashamed.
Even saying "I" feels like an insult.
You know everything. There is no hiding from You.
Addiction is an idolatry of self, worshipping lies.
It is not who I am, for You have made me for Your purpose.
Remind me of Your truth, Lord! Break these chains!
I give up. Time to stop running like Job.
Time to stop cave-dwelling like David.
Time to reveal my nakedness so You may clothe me in robes.
You are my strength and Savior, my anchor and rock.
Tear down the strongholds and expose the strong man.
Lead me to repentance for Your Name's sake.
Save me from these brambles, for I have gone astray.
I am helpless, and this state is just where You need me to be.
Jesus, You are my Shepherd. Restore me, revive me, receive me.
My prayers rise up like the moans of a lost soul.
My body wastes away, my neck becomes thin, my eyes grow large,
Waiting for you.
You will come, am probably already here.

You whisper "I've always been with you, closer than your heartbeat.
Now, just let go and hold on."

This is love.

Salvation came first on that cruel cross
As Jesus took upon your total sins;
Now when you gave your life to Him across
Committing all you have, new life begins.
The Spirit of Christ Jesus lives in you,
In Him you have your being and desire,
For you are being formed and shaped anew
Into the image of the Son through fire.
Cease walking in the flesh, now Spirit bound,
Abide within the word and walk in love;
The crucible of life is so profound
If you surrender all to God above.
     O child! You're not alone! You're ne'er apart!
     No force can separate you from God's heart.

Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4

Beloved, You are my delight,
My deep repose, my long respite.
Such peaceful joy no words can share,
Your love is such I can’t compare.

Your Spirit dwells within this heart,
It doesn’t end, it has no start.
Wherever I am, so are You,
Just show the way, You’ll see me through.

The heavens show Your glory fine,
Each atom spins in grand design.
O Lord, there is no mystery
Within Your noble majesty.

Above the stars, beneath the earth,
Creation celebrates its birth.
In humble prayer I praise Your name,
You are my Savior! I proclaim.

Transformed into Your image bright,
Adopted as a son of light,
And more than that, an heir and more,
The veil removed, the open door.

My soul desires this only thing:
To do Your will, my Lord and King.
I cling upon each whispered word,
To follow You as undeterred.

There is no room for two, You say,
So crucified with You that day,
And rose again emerge as one,
No longer I, but You begun.

Beloved, You are my delight,
My deep repose, my long respite.

Jehovah Jireh promises such gifts
Beyond the count that mortal man can reach,
Of blessings from all spiritual lifts
To those whose Lord is Christ in heart and speech.
Believing that He died for all your sins,
And rose again to conquer death and hell,
You reap the benefits of those who wins,
The Kingdom’s glory now upon you dwells.
Accepted and adopted without blame,
The mystery of God’s will He gives with grace!
A holy child of Abba is your claim,
Ambassador to Heaven in this place!
	Embrace through God your new identity;
	The gifts He showers down on you are free.

The Kingdom of Heaven is like teaching a man to fish by catching one for him.

John 3:8 - "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

No, the Lord hasn't imparted a sonnet to me in days, but that passion was put to better use elsewhere in the Kingdom, helping others and making everyone laugh along the way. I try to follow the leading of the Spirit but am more often than not immersed in worldly things. I repent for being double-minded. "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus..." Fill me with Your glory, Lord. It doesn't matter what I do, as long as You direct my steps.
