For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
(Psalm 139:4)
Lord. You know what I’m going to say before I say it. May all my words be filled with Your Spirit!
Of everything I’ve said You’ve known them all
Before the words were formed within my lips.
All truths, all lies, all uttered great and small,
The idle talk, the cursing and the slips.
O Christ! Now I repent of all ungodly dross,
To only say what You would have me say!
The things that You endured upon the cross
Will not be put to shame again, I pray!
The wise, My friend, know how to hold their tongue
And wait upon the Spirit for its cue.
The breath of Life exists within your lungs;
Sincere repentance lets Me speak through you.
I know the words you say shall come from Me,
If you walk in My love, that is the key.
